Teen Summer Camp

Teen Camp 2.0

BECAUSE IT’S BEEN 3 MONTHS THAT YOU HAVEN’T SPENT A WHOLE WEEK WITH YOUR FRIENDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Schedule
Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Program 1: July 6 to 10 OR July 13 to 17
Program 2 : July 20 to 24 OR July 27 to 31


Registrations and informations
Participants: Ages 12 to 17 only (must be 12 years old by September 30th, 2020)
Bilingual camp (*bilingual coordinator)
Registration online only (valid resident card)
until July 3 at noon for week A1 (July 6 to 10)
until July 10 at noon for week A2 (July 13 to 17)
until July 17 at noon for week B1 (July 20 to 24)
until July 24 at noon for B2 (July 27 to August 31)

RATIO

The ratios applied are the ones established by the Public Health Department: 15/week.

COST
Resident : $90/week
Non-resident : $250/week


LOCATION
Arrival and departure will take place at the Community Centre (1301 Rue du Bois)

REQUIRED MATERIAL FOR THE CAMP
• Lunch (cold or hot, two microwaves are available)
• Snacks
• Sunscreen and mosquito repellent if necessary
• Reusable water bottle (access to a water fountain to refill)

REFUND POLICY
a) Parents who have already registered will have until July 2nd to modify their registration, without administration fees. After that date, fees will apply.

b) No refunds will be made (at the request of the parent) after the beginning of the camp except for medical or a physical incapacity to continue the camp. No administration fees will
be charged in the event of a cancellation for medical reasons related to COVID-19.

c) A request for refund target a full week that the registered child is absent. No refund can be done on daily basis.

d) No refund will be made (at the request of the parent) after July 3
rd, except for: death of a member of the immediate family, loss of employment of one of the parents, if there’s a
change in the custody of the person registered for one of his parents or due to a mandatory participation to a course required by an educational institution. The refund request must
be for a full week during which the registered person is absent from the activity. In other words, no refund is made on a daily basis. Administration fees (15% for a maximum of $25)
are applicable.


ACCEPTANCE OF RISK CLAUSE
At the time of registration, all parents must certify that they have read and agreed to the following clause : “I have read the document explaining the protective measures and I
undertake to comply with them. I have discussed the document with my teenager, explained what the measures consist of and informed him or her of the importance of complying with
them. I understand and accept that the Saint-Lazare day camp.


ILLNESS
Upon arrival at the site in the morning, both employees and teenagers will have to validate that they are healthy and free of symptoms.

Any participant who develops symptoms associated with COVID-19 (fever, onset or aggravation of a cough, breathing difficulties or sudden loss of sense of smell without nasal
congestion, with or without loss of taste) must immediately leave the day camp until 24 to 48 hours after the symptoms disappear. If a teen develops symptoms related to COVID-19, he/she will be placed in an isolated area.

A parent must be available at all times to pick up the participant if he develops symptoms of COVID-19. Access will be denied to any participant with symptoms associated with the illness (fever or cough or difficulty breathing or sudden loss of smell or taste or other symptoms, according to the government site).

Access will also be denied to any participant whose parents or another person in the same household presents these symptoms or who has already been placed in isolation due to
COVID-19 (case or contact).


PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITION
As there are COVID risks for those with certain medical conditions, any participant with a preexisting medical condition will be required to obtain a note from their physician confirming that they can attend day camp.

Individuals with a higher fatality risk following complications are those:
• with a weakened immune system;
• with chronic illnesses such as diabetes or with cardiac, pulmonary or renal diseases.



MASKS
The CNESST does not recommend that counsellors wear personal protective equipment (PPE) to protect themselves from COVID-19. Physical distancing of 2 metres must be respected whenever possible.

Participants and counsellors who are comfortable wearing a mask may do so. We invite them to read the guide on wearing a mask in public, available on the government’s Web site, in order to find out how to make their own masks and use them properly
.
